Hi, I am looking into quiet family holiday locations in Normandy. Any information or opinions about the following would be welcome!
Lessay, Passais, Flers.

Flers is rather far from the coast. Pretty countryside, but not much in the immediate vicinity.
Lessay is a much better location: It has a gorgeous romanesque abbey church and is close to fine beaches. The northern Cotentin, with La Hague and Barfleur/St-Vaast, is not far. The D-Day beaches - Utah and Omaha, are also easily reached.

Many thanks.

That%26#39;s a strange choice of towns.
Lessay is near the coast and has an interesting abbey.
Flers is in deep Normandy but it%26#39;s a largish town, not particularly interesting.
Passais is about 20 miles from Flers and is a small village. About 600 inhabitants. It has the tax office, a college, a pharmacie, an oratory, a grocers and butchers, and a retirement home (my wife is the manageress).
If you want to be in typical Normandy you%26#39;re in it.
Mont St Michel is an hour away.
Domfront is an interesting town with a keep built by Henry I of England.
Fougeres has a castle to visit.
Nearby you can ride bikes safely on a disused railway line (no tracks or sleepers)
Near by : The Saucerie Manor - a 15th c manor with a moat.
