public transport or car for biarritz/day trips 4 days

Do I need a car? arrive staying in radisson for 4 nights. plan a day trip to bayonne/ st jean de luz/ lourdes?

Is train easier than geting a car?

To Bayonne and St. Jean-de-Luz, you can easily take a train or bus. The train to Lourdes takes a little over 2 hrs., slightly more than if you drive.

In that area, if you drive, you can cover a lot more ground in little time. Traffic won%26#39;t be too bad now, as opposed to summer, when it is awful. Cities and towns are small so you don%26#39;t need much time to see them. It all depends on how much you want to do/see.

Thanks ,

Where will I find time tables for train service?

You can plan any journey anywhere in Europe using DB%26#39;s excellent planner:

reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en…

And here%26#39;s buses for Biarritz and Bayonne:

Note that it%26#39;s much better to use the bus to go to Bayonne, because Biarritz railway station is a 35 minute walk (or a bus ride in itself) out of the centre.

To go to St Jean du Luz, there is a small bus operator that runs services around hourly from Ave Joseph Petit. Or you can take the train.
