travel time from aix en provence to nice

What is the best way to travel from aix to nice airport - car, train or bus and time frames? I will be travelling in July next year so guess the roads will be busy. Marseilles airport doesn%26#39;t have the flights we require so need to get to nice quickly. thanks

Your best bet would trains + shuttles.

START: Gare Routière (Bus Station), Avenue de l%26#39;Europe, Aix-en-Provence. From la Rotunde (Giant fountain), turn onto Avenue des Belges. Follow it until you reach the circle. Switch to Avenue de l%26#39;Europe. You will see buses. The ticket office is on your left.

1. Take the Aix-TGV-Airport shuttle from the Gare Routière to the Aix TGV station. (3.90E - 20 mins) They are blue and have %26quot;Navette%26quot; on them.

2. Take the TGV from %26quot;Aix en Provence TGV%26quot; to Nice. (34E - 2h40-3 hours)Book tickets online:

Be sure to enter the full station name for Aix. For English, click %26quot;Reservez un billet de train%26quot; under the TRAIN tab. Go in the address bar of your browser and find LANG=FR. Change the FR to UK.

3. Take bus no 99 from Nice Ville train station to the airport. (4E - 15 mins).

Total: 42E, under 4 hours.

If you have a morning flight, travel to Nice in the evening and stay the night.

Hope that helps.
