Could someone please advise, going to nice on 19th oct, trying to make my mind up about staying at a hotel near the beach or one with a pool or is their anyone sun bathing at all at that time of year. (help)

Hi mayoman,
Although the weather could be iffy toward the end of October, it%26#39;s still reasonable to do some sun bathing on the beach. Just don%26#39;t forget those rubber beach shoes, as the large pebbles are oh so painful. Just have fun!

sun bathing is possible even in January bertween say 11 am and 3pm as long as it isn%26#39;t too cloudy or raining
If is sunny and you aren%26#39;t in the shade you will get a tan.
La Gravette beach in Antibes is really good in the winter months because the ancient city walls make a kind of windbreak - its a real sun trap there
