we will be staying at Le Club Mougins the end of October for 1 week, and then at the Palazzo Catalani in Viterbo, Italy for a week. We are debating whether to rent a car for those two weeks. We plan on taking the trains to Paris, Florence, Venice and Rome, but also wanted to see the countryside. We had originally planned to drive from Mougins down to Viterbo, but are wondering about the tolls. Also, does anyone know if the 2 resorts have free parking in the event we do rent a car? Any other information would be most helpful.

I looked at Le Club Mougins a few months ago and think the web site indicated free parking.
You might want to rent a car for your time in southern France; it would make getting to Mougins easier than by train to Cannes and then bus. You would NOT want to take the same car into Italy, as you would have a whopping one-way charge to pay. You can take the train from Cannes to Italy and pick up another car when you get there íf that%26#39;s what you decide to do.

We stayed at Le Club mougins a few years ago. It was beautiful!! The small town of Mougin has the best food I%26#39;ve ever had and it%26#39;s great place to go for dinner. The resort did have free parking and because the resort is nestled about 5 miles ontop of a hill overlooking Cannes it%26#39;s best to have a car. Defintely try to go to Eze while your there (It%26#39;s between Nice and Monocco)..it has the most gorgeous view i%26#39;ve ever seen at the top and it%26#39;s such a cute town.

Sorry to spot your post so late, your holiday probably seems a distant memory!? But I have just booked for a week at Le Club Mougins and wondered what it was like, I%26#39;ve booked via Sunterra and do find their resorts very hit and miss, unfortunately. So would be nice to know what this one is like before travelling and manage the expectations !

I notice this post is dated Jun 2006. We are 2 Australians staying in Paris at the moment and are considering booking a week at le club Mougins. Has anyone stayed there more recently than 2006. We are desperate to find out about the standard of this resort as we need to book it or something else quite soon

We are going to Le Club Mougins in November 2008 for 7 days. I%26#39;m wondering - what is the cheapest way to get from Nice Airport to Club Mougins? A Taxi is 80 Euro; I can%26#39;t seem to find any info on buses or trains; perhaps nothing goes into Mougins? We have never rented a car in Europe and are somewhat hesitant (we don%26#39;t speak any French). Is renting a car a crazy and/or scary experience and would it be cheaper overall than trying to take taxis, buses and trains?
