Travelling to Paris for day on Saturday. Where can I purchase tickets before arriving at Louvre?
Got them at a music store in Champs Ellyes (excuse the spelling!) last time about 3 few years ago.
Anyone any idea?
Cheers

I don%26#39;t know if fnac.com sells them but they might because I did get a ticket to the D%26#39;Orsay from them. They have several locations. The one I use is at Les Halles on the lower level. They open at 10am.
However, the best plan is not to get an advance ticket at all. Enter the Louvre on the Rue de Rivoli entrance under the red and white vertical banner which reads %26quot;Carousel%26quot;. Take the escalator downstairs, walk past the shops on your right and your left and then you will end up in a large open area with ticket machines where you can purchase your entrance ticket to the Louvre. Then you decide which wing you want to enter first, get in that short security line and in you go! Very simple. Since FNAC doesn%26#39;t open until 10am, you could actually get started at the Louvre earlier by skipping the %26quot;advance ticket%26quot; idea. There is little or no line at the Louvre when you do it this way.
By the way, I was in Paris last year for the France vs. Scotland soccer game (Scotland won). The Scots were so nice! Friendly, courteous, didn%26#39;t rub the French%26#39;s faces in the fact that they had just beaten them. I really liked them. I have also heard your country is very beautiful--perhaps like Oregon where I live.

Agree with Oregon, don%26#39;t make yourself crazy buying in advance. Use the Carousel entrance, or depending on what day of the week, time of day, there may be little or no line at the Pyramid entrance, it%26#39;s not an issue.

Thanks very much for your help - that%26#39;s really helpful.
I remember the football game vividly! Both home and away Scotland were victorious! ... but still never qualified.
Just hoping the weather in Paris will be good - doesn%26#39;t need to be warm but no rain would be wonderful as plan to do a lot of walking.

We have a saying about Oregon: %26quot;If you don%26#39;t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes. Paris is kind of like that. The weather is very changeable.
Besides, the Louvre is an inside activity.
Just prepare for rain. It is the best way to not get any.
Have fun!
