Hello,
we want to travel to Biarrit for a week (mid-October), but we have still some questions:
- We want to walk on the beach and relax at the sea. Is a longer walk (1-2 hours) from Biarritz to Bidart and Guéthary direction along the beach possible? Or is there no continuous beach between Biarritz and Bidart/Guéthary, so that we have to walk along a street?
- Or should we drive with our rental car until Tarnos-Plage to go there on the beach to walk? But we would prefer to walk on the beach direct from Biarritz because the way to Tarnos-Plage is 30km by car.
- Is there a bus from the rail station Biarritz into the city of Biarritz? Where in Biarritz is the central bus station or central bus stop?
- Whether we want to go with the rental car from Biarritz to the Dune du Pyla at the south of Arcachon. Is the Dune du Play worth the long distance from Biarritz?
We do not really want to travel to Arcachon or Bordeaux, because we prefer to spend much time at nature. Are there in the near of Biarritz parks, gardens or other natural places, which are worth a visit?
Thank you very much for your support in advance.

1. Yes it is possible to walk from Biarritz to Bidart. But make sure that you set off when the tide is well on its way out. It will not all be passable at high tide and you can even get trapped at a few places.
It%26#39;s a really nice walk, and if you time it right (I reckon it takes about 90minutes depending on speed from central Biarritz) you can take lunch in Bidart.
It%26#39;s then possible to catch a bus back to Biarritz. Or of course you can do the journey in reverse, lunch in Bidart and walk the lunch off walking into Biarritz.
2. Yes, bus number 2 goes from Biarritz station to the centre:

There isn%26#39;t a bus station but the bus offices and %26quot;main%26quot; bus stop is at Mairie, just near the tourist office.
3. Biarritz%26#39;s main nature is really the sea-side. But there is a big area of forest, Chiberta, to the east of town. I haven%26#39;t really explored this, but it seems to have some nice trails.
I can%26#39;t answer your other questions as I don%26#39;t drive and haven%26#39;t been to the places you mention.

The Dune du Pyla is quite large, and you certainly will feel like you%26#39;ve spent time in nature if you go there, climb it, walk along it, etc. You could easily spend two or three hours there. I can%26#39;t say whether it%26#39;s worth it to go there from Biarritz, as I%26#39;ve not been to Biarritz.
