While in paris on our honeymoon we%26#39;d like to do something really special as well as the normal sight seeing. What was the most romantic thing you did while in paris? I was thinking something like a carriage ride as night or something of the sort? Any ideas? Thanks again for everyone%26#39;s help!

We stayed in the 7th down the street from the Champ de Mars park. Every night we walked to the park and stood and watched the Eiffel tower twinkle for 10 minutes at the top of the hour. For some reason I just loved that.

This might seem a little cliche. However, My favorite thing that we did was when we got all dressed up and did dinner at Altitude 95 (inside the Eiffel Tower) and then did a night time boat ride on the Seine. It was so peaceful and romantic!

I agree with lroccaf. Something so simple can be so beautiful. Contrary to some, the Eiffel Tower (inside) was the least romantic place in Paris!!
I have to say, I loved the Lourve at night with a stroll in the Tuileries. I feel that Paris, being the city of lights is far more romantic at night than during the day.
However, being on your honeymoon, everywhere in Paris will be romantic for you both!!
Congratulations by the way! :-)

We spent our 25th anniversary and it might as well been a honeymoon it was that romantic. You don%26#39;t have to spend a fortune to be romantic. The most special time we had was sharing a bottle of white wine, cheese, baguette, pate and some strawberries on a gorgeous warm, sunny day at the Luxembourg Gardens looking down on the kids sailing their boats in the pond. Oh, I also gave my wife an anniversary ring on the top of the Eiffel Tower but the gardens were much nicer.
Good luck.

An evening boat ride on the Vendettes is very romantic. They stop in front of the Eiffel Tower for awhile so you can see it twinkle at night, but the view behind Notre Dame (all lit up) is really special.

Picnics (complete with real champagne) for lunch in the sculpture garden of the Musee Rodin and at sunset in the Parc du Champs de Mars are up there with the most romantic things we did in Paris.
That, and wandering around the streets of the Ile de la Cite, the Marais and Montmartre – and watching the sunset from the steps leading up to Sacre Couer....

I vote for the picnic idea too. We took a bottle of nice wine and had a night time picnic at the Eiffel Tower which is a sight to behold at night especially. There is a park nearby which somehow seems to elude the crowds (or at least the night we were there). It was probably my most memorable romantic spot.

Our favorite part of our trip was on our final day. We went and bought two different cheeses a baguette and a 375ml of Champagne, found some plastic cups and plastic knives. Went down to the Seine and sat on a park bench eating and watching the sunset it was very memorable!
Cheers,

One of the most memorable experiences we had on our trip last month was when my husband and I had an early dinner at Cafe Marly overlooking the pyramid of the Louvre, then we walked through the Tuileries, Place de la Concorde, up the Champs Elysees and went to the top of the Arc de Triomphe for a fantastic nighttime view. Here%26#39;s hoping for great weather for your honeymoon!
