Paris

What is the best way to get from CDG to Gare St. Lazare? Also, do you really have to purchase tickets for sncf ahead of time? I%26#39;ll just have carry on luggage, so train, metro not a problem

The best I can tell from looking at my map, take RER B from CDG to Gare du Nord. It looks like that station is next to Magenta station where you can get the RER E. Take that to the end of the line at Haussmann St-Lazare. That station is very near St. Lazare (beginning of Metro Line 14) and Gare St-Lazare.

I%26#39;m not guaranteeing this is the best route--it is just my best guess from looking at the Metro/RER map. Would anyone else who is sure please chime in.

If you don%26#39;t get much response, you might create a new post with a title which is more specific to your request like %26quot;Getting from CDG to Gare St-Lazare.

You%26#39;ve received good advice from ILWP. The transfer from the RER-B platform to the RER-E Magenta station is easy and there are no stairs, only escalators and elevators. The connecting tunnel to RER-E is directly off the RER-B southbound platform.

Thanks a lot.
