An entire afternoon free

I would be in Cannes for a conference towards end Sept. for 4 days.

During the 4 days that I spend in Cannes I suppose I would be able to see a lot of Cannes. The conference would end on Friday 12 noon and my flight is only next day morning.

What do you think I can do after the conference ends - Nice ?? St.Raphel ?? St. Tropez??

Thanks

Hi there,

You won%26#39;t be able to get to St Tropez in the time you%26#39;ve got. St Raphael has less to offer, so my choice would be Nice of those three.

If you decide to go to Nice take the train rather than the bus which takes a long time.

Another idea is to go Antibes for the afternoon and evening. It%26#39;s closer than Nice and a nice town with a completely different feel to Cannes.There%26#39;s plenty to occupy the time you%26#39;ve got plus it%26#39;s easy to get there by bus if there are any problems with the trains.

How cold will Cannes be towards end Sept. Would one require warm clothes for day or night outings??

During the day it should be warm - mid 20s centigrade, falling to 15 degrees at night, so a jacket or sweater for the evenings is advisable

Thanks Sooz,

Heard that temperature has dropped in the last couple of days, is that true?? How much is the min temp now??

You might want to spend the afternoon in St. Paul de Vence, one of my favorite places to visit. Visit the St. Paul forum for more info.

I travel with my husband to the Duty Free Convention (end of October), and get around on my own. It%26#39;s really quite easy. I take the train from Cannes to Cagnes sur Mer, and pick up the bus that comes from Nice near the train station. if you want more detailed info, let me know.

We%26#39;ve had mostly warm weather when we go. %26quot;Layering%26quot; with a light jacket is they way to go. Visit The weather channel website, and you can get a 10 day forcast before you leave.
