I received this info as well and it looks like the site has been updated in the last day or two. Exciting!!!

Received an email from La Bicyclette Jaune yesterday -- still not a lot of information about the hotel development but it does look like a legitimate operation. Some interesting links in the newsletter -- if you%26#39;re not on their mailing list you can download it from their website www.labicyclettejaune.com
Apparently if you join the mailing list there is also an opportunity to win a Molteni jersey autographed by Eddy Merckx!
Does anybody else have information about La Bicyclette Jaune?

I received the same information newsletter that just came out this week, I am curious to the exact location as we are planning a cycling trip trip to Provence for the spring of 2009...does anyone have an idea of weather conditions in Provence for year round cycling, can you ride in the winter months?

I cycle in Eastern Provence, near Nice, in every month of the year and it is almost always comfortable, ranging from afternoon temps of 55F or so in January to the mid seventies in June/September. The only time you are likely to feel cold is coming down long descents or at higher altitude. July/August is hot but, as I%26#39;m sure you know, cycling always creates a breeze. May/September are my favourite times, comfortably warm with little chance of much rain.
Rainy days are few but it really does rain, not the drizzle we get in the UK, so watch out for the weather forecast. It is quite dangerous to cycle in these conditions especially after a long dry spell.
Western Provence has the added difficulty of the Mistral. If it is blowing you wouldn%26#39;t want to be trying to cycle in a northerly direction! It can also bring very cold weather indeed.
I once beat Eddy Merckx in a race but, overall, he did rather better than me. (About a million times better!)
Don%26#39;t know if you have experience of cycling in France? You are king of the road with motorists giving you a degree of consideration that, in my experience, is unknown anywhere else.

Thansk Bob, that is useful information....we plan to be there late March early April so it sounds like cross our fingers and take our chances!
So long as there is minimal rain I can live with it.

Had a great trip in Provence, cycling around the Luberon on my Merckx. Great area and can%26#39;t wait to go back soon and not a rain drop in sight.
Love the new Bicylette Jaune website by the way!! That will be my next visit.
