FYI - Port Doree Metro station is closed for renovation

Greetings everyone from Paris

Just a quick heads up that Port Doree Metro Station is closed until Dec 2/08 for renovations. If you are staying at the Hotel Porte Doree (or somewhere else close by) you should get off at Station Michel Bizot.

hi i%26#39;m staying in that hotel in a few days...how far away is the station michel bizot? will that take me to the centre of Paris? worried now!!!!! thanks

Don%26#39;t worry about it - Michel Bizot is about 2 blocks up the street from the hotel. It is on line 8 on the Metro system and it is easy to get into the centre of Paris. Don%26#39;t forget to go to the Vandermeersh boulangerie across the street from the Porte Doree Hotel - have a macaron for me! Also, the Bois de Vincennes just up the road from the Hotel is great for an evening stroll. Enjoy your holiday - we had a great time

Just to re-confirm there%26#39;s absolutely no reason to worry about transportation options, the effort spent in walking under 10 minutes to the Michel Bizot station can be immediately compensated, as it means you will walk by 2 more boulangeries. :))

Have an amazing time in Paris, I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll enjoy both the City and the hotel de la Porte Dorée.
