My wife and I and our 9-year-old son will be in Paris this December over New Year%26#39;s. Does anyone have any suggestions of activities or events that are happening in Paris on New Year%26#39;s Eve that would be appealing and appropriate for a 9-year-old boy? We are staying in Montparnasse, but are willing to go anywhere by Metro. Thanks!

There%26#39;s the fireworks, which are at midnight (that might be too late for your child). They take place at the Eiffel Tower but you can see them at various locations.
THe CHamps Elysees is usually a huge party, but lots and lots of people that might be frightening for a kid...

If I%26#39;m not mistaken, the fireworks at the E-tower are only on Bastille day. On new years they%26#39;re launched from the west end of the Tuilleries or somewhere else in near the Champs Elysées.
