A lot depends on what you like doing.
It%26#39;s fair to say that Lille offers many things to different people.
My top tip, would be to invest in the book mentioned in the previous post - make sure its the 2nd Edition from Brandt - and go from there.
It also depends on when you go - for example, there%26#39;s a great Market on Sunday morning that%26#39;s always on our itinery.
So what do you like? Fine food, great wine, local brewed-on-the-premises beer? History, architecture, museums?

we are there Friday afternoon and all day Saturday leaving early Sunday morning , we like good restaurants , markets, parks , wandering around the streets , the occasional church , museum etc etc

I%26#39;m going to Lille for a weekind late October too, was wondering if it would be worth while getting the City pass, any ideas?

If you are staying in the center of Lille most things are in walking distance.
I have been for several weekend breaks and never had a city pass.
If it is your first time I suggest a bus trip from outside the tourist office which will show you the major sites.
