I am a young and adventurous backpacker keen on sightseeing, photography and walking tours, and I am thinking of going to Marseille next year for a long weekend.
* What is it like for backpackers?
* Is it safe?
* Does it have good hostels to stay in?
* Is it easy to get around?
* Is it scenic (I have heard it is messy)
* Is it safe for a lone traveller (I%26#39;m not African or Maghreb and may look a bit conspicuous)
I am very experienced at backpacking, and can speak French very well. Would it be worth my while going?
