Well, There Goes the Dollar Again

Now it costs $1.4811 to buy a euro. Last week it was under $1.40.

Bah! And I was getting all excited when it was under $1.40...

Hello Pix, thanks for keeping us up-to-date on the euro vs. dollar valuation. I guess the US$ is getting hit because of the government bailouts we%26#39;re going through. The more debt the fed assumes the less value our currency abroad. Let%26#39;s hope it makes another turn after election day.

I think i should lock in the euro price today. Do you know the best place to buy euros in Los Angeles? I%26#39;m going in December.

Last week I considered buying euros at 1.37 at AAA but figured it was premature--now I don%26#39;t know.

AAA sells euros, if you are a member at current rate. Let%26#39;s see what happens!

We are headed to europe next week. If this major U.S. bailout goes through before then how will it effect the cost of euros with my US dollars?

thank you

I am really envious - when I travel from South Africa I shall be buying 1 euro at R12.00 (rand)!

Hey, let%26#39;s not get too disappointed. It could be worse: like the $1.60 that I paid back in February.

:(

%26quot;It could be worse: like the $1.60 that I paid back in February.%26quot;

Yes. It could be worse.

Why can%26#39;t the US have more cash-lover Dutch or Germans in Washington? This bailout is stupid. Anybody that avoids debt like Dave Ramsey knows how to make that bailout 95% cheaper. Evict all of those debt-loving congressmen.

«Evict all of those debt-loving congressmen»

And what side of the aisle would they be sitting?

Both sides Metromole, both sides of the aisle. I can%26#39;t believe the dollar is as high as it is.
