Metro or HOHO Bus

Hi, I%26#39;ll be in Paris for 2 1/2 days and intend to cover several places of interest within Paris. I wonder if it is better to travel with Metro or should I just go for Hop On and Hop off bus?

I prefer the city buses to the Metro.

Note that L%26#39;Opentour has four routes with many more stops than Les Cars Rouge.

If the weather is pleasant, views from seats on the open air upper deck are magnificent.

The hop on/hop off buses are not the most efficient way to get around, and the hours are limited, but the stops are conveniently located to the major sights and attractions. You%26#39;d probably want to hop off in order of the stops. Depending on your destinations, there may be sections of any of the routes you%26#39;d prefer to skip, and find yourself using the metro or city buses anyway - especially if you%26#39;re out and about after the last bus for getting back to wherever you%26#39;re staying.

I chose the metro while I was there, I found it reasonably clean, very efficient. I felt I had a better idea of where I was being able to use the metro map stops as landmarks. Any time I got %26quot;lost%26quot; i would just find the closest metro and either walk or ride back to where I was looking for. I put lost in quotes, as it wasn%26#39;t really an issue.

I came back yesterday from Paris. The Metro is clean and easy to use. I saw the Hop-on bus in town, it drives slowly and Paris has rush hours that slow it even more. With just 2 1/2 days I%26#39;ll go for the Metro.
