Do children pay on the metro?

When I go to Paris I usually buy carnets of 10 metro tickets and just replenish when I run out. We are considering taking the kids this time and they are 13, 10 and 6. Do they pay to go on the metro? I know many museums are free for kids. Would they get in to the museums we visit if my husband and I have museum passes and they don%26#39;t? Are there any other discounts for children I should be aware of?

Thanks!

I am pretty sure kids under 4 are free on the metro, but it%26#39;s cheap enough anyway. Kids under 18 are free for museums, if you have passes, they go in with you, no problem. Don%26#39;t know about other discounts, eating and shopping can be expensive, but fortunately you can soak up all the culture and art you want for a small price.

Children under-4 yrs. travel free (one assumes when they are accompanied by an older paying passenger). Children under-11 yrs. qualify for 50% discounts for many tickets and transportation passes.

On Saturday %26amp; Sundays, steeply reduded price TICKET JEUNES are available to under-26 yrs.

Many Romanian state orphanages still offer deep discounts on children these day. If it wasn%26#39;t that they grew up eating so many groceries require expensive athletic shoes and video games (and heaven forbid you get a bright one that wants to go to graduate school after college), they might be a bargain....but you%26#39;ll have to forget Paris.

Very funny, KDKSAIL! Yes, kids are a fortune these days.
