It%26#39;s %26quot;la Semaine du Goût%26quot;, the taste week (13-19 Oct.) - meant to promote the development of taste.

Chefs give cooking/tasting classes to kids, cooking classes are organised by schools, restaurants, markets, etc., everywhere. About 500 restaurants in France have special menus for this week, with reduced prices (for example the Ritz in Paris, but hopefully also other, lesser known and cheaper restaurants...).

There is also an event in Paris called Pari Fermier held October 17–20: Espace Champerret, Rue Jean Oestreicher, Porte de Champerret, 17th Arr. entry for the public is only 7 euros per person. Just thought this could be of interest to you if you are there during this time period.

Here is a list of the Parisian restaurants participating, at a reduced price. There are some great restaurants on this list.

It%26#39;s not connected to the %26quot;semaine du goût%26quot;, but this weekend (19-21 Sept.), there%26#39;s also a %26quot;Marchés Flottants du Sud-Ouest%26quot; (floating markets of the south-west) event in Paris. It%26#39;s meant to promote the culinary - and other - qualities of the south-west of France (Gers, Lot-et-Garonne, Tarn-et-Garonne). It%26#39;s at the Quai Montebello (near Notre-Dame).

Thankyou all

The resturant list sounds good but not cheape is this less expensive than the regular price?

I would only be in paris at 05-16 oct so I wouldnt catch the Pari Fermier.

Are There cooking/tasting classes for adults or teenagers then?

I guess this would be in french .

Thankyou

Yeah it is cheaper. Not enormoously cheaper, but cheaper. However I do believe that 130 euros at the Ritz is a huge discount on their normal prices.

The classes are in French, unfortunately if you don%26#39;t speak French...

This sounds great! So if you would like to dine at one of the participating restaurants during that time, do you have to make a special reservation or do they just offer the %26quot;le gout%26quot; menu in addition to the regular menu?
