car parking in Nice

I am staying in Nice in a weeks time, staying in the pedestrian area near Promenade des Anglais. I am disabled so we have to hire a car to get around. The appt does not have parking. Doea anyone know of cheap and safe car parking nearby or better still safe parking on a road. Are you allowed to park overnight on the road? I have a blue disabled badge but cannot find any information about concessionary charges.

Any advice welcome.

You can street park overnight if you can find a space but you will have to be ready to move it early next morning. There are multi-storey car parks (one near you is Parking Grimaldi) but they are not cheap but a lot safer than street parking. Do not leave anything of value in the hire car overnight wherever you park.

you will not find a lot of free places in the street in the center, that will be very difficult even if there are some special place for disabled people (not enough)

= you will have to say in a underground parking = 25 euros per day about

I never recommand a hotel, apartment in this area with a car

good luck

There are cars parked outside our apt. on the Prom des Anglais which have disabled signs and they don%26#39;t pay the parking charges. However, you should check with the car hire co. whether your UK badge is valid in France.

thanks for your info

ive just got back...ended up getting a ticket for 6 days which was 55euros to park in an underground carkpark on the place de massena which is as central as you can get. right on the pedestrian zone. you could come and go as often as you wanted and there was 24 hour security. i thought this was good value for money as the only other option was paying 25euros per day.
