Best Italian food in Nice

Hello- What is your favorite Italian restaurant in Nice and why? We%26#39;re here for the next five days and want to try them ALL! Thanks

My vote goes to La Voglia, right on the edge of the edge of the Cours Saléya next to the entrance to the underground parking lot. Wonderful food, huge servings of things like baked rigatoni, upbeat atmosphere. Reserve; there%26#39;s generally a line to get in the restaurant.

Another favorite of ours is L%26#39;Ecurie, at 4 rue du Marché.

I like la voglia but for more rustic italian food try the Ville de sienne 10, Rue St Vincent, old Nice

Hi sockster,

La Voglia in my estimation is just a so so Italian Restaurant with large portions. I%26#39;ve eaten there a couple of times, and my opinion hasn%26#39;t changed. The Italian influence of many of Nice%26#39;s restaurants is always present. You might consider two favorites in the old town, one being Acchiardo, on rue Droite, family owned with wonderful varieties of Gnocchi, but only as a side dish, and great private label wine for under 15 Euros. Every entree is a winner. Next is L%26#39;Escalinada, on rue Pairoliere. Great Nicoise menu, and you start off with a complimentary glass of Kir, a bowl of chickpeas, and a square of pissaladiere, the onion laden version of pizza. One speciality is porchetta, but share it. Reservations are definitely recommended. Bon Apetite!
