Air france shuttle

Hi,

We are reaching Paris on 2nd October at 7:30 am and are planning to take the air france shuttle to our hotel apollon montparnasse (91 rue de l%26#39;Ouest, Paris, 75014). The shuttle drops us at Rue du Commandant Mouchotte, Gare Montparnasse. Now, we have a big suitcase and are wondering whether we can get a taxi from the shuttle stop to our hotel. Is there a taxi stand close by and roughly how much should it cost? I guess the distance is around 0.8 kms.

Also, just to confirm - we do not need to pre-book the tickets for the shuttle right? We can just buy it from the driver?

This forum has been a great help but alos a lot confusing- im not able to handle the amount of information out here :(

Thanks in advance!

You can buy your tickets (either one-way, or round-trip) when you board the bus.

I don%26#39;t know the answer to your taxi question.

On top of this page type in air France shuttle under search. Plenty of facts regarding this topic.

|||

The question regarding the shuttle was just a confirmation f the info I got from this forum. Just to make sure!

My main question still remains unanswered - Can i get a taxi from the shuttle drop-off point to the hotel?

Thanks!

The drop-off point for the Les CARS AIR FRANCE Coach will be at one of the entrances to Gare Montparnasse on rue du Commandant René Mouchotte. I%26#39;m not sure if there is an official Taxi stand right there...but you should have no difficulty finding a taxi to take you the short distance (700 meters or so) to the HÔTEL APOLLON MONTPARNASSE, 91 rue de l%26#39;Ouest %26amp; rue Pernety. The distance should be within the minimum Taxi Parisian fare of 5,60€...plus a 1€ official surcharge per bag (after the 1st).

There is a taxi stand right in front of the Gare Montparnasse.

We took the Air France bus route that stops near the Arc. When we got off there were several taxis lined up waiting. They seem to know the bus schedule and are right there waiting for business. I am certain you should have no problem.

On the other hand, print a good street-level map of your hotel location, in case you meet with resistance from drivers who don%26#39;t want to get out of the line to take you such a short distance. It will take you about 7-10 minutes to walk.

KDKSAIL %26amp; nutsabouttravel : Thanks so much! Thats exactly what i was looking for.

Lulutoo: I was hoping that the coach drops at a point close to a taxi stand. So it does!

travelnutty: Walking 700 m is no problem at all but we hv a big suitcase and are not sure we want to drag it all the way.

Thanks guys so much!

Use the %26#39;..Plan..%26#39; and %26#39;..Itinéraire..%26#39; fetures of the PAGES JAUNES mapping site--

pagesjaunes.fr/trouverlesprofessionnels/…

to generate and PRINT OUT detailed local street maps of your hotel%26#39;s location at 91 rue de l%26#39;Ouest, 75014 or the drop-off point for the Les Cars Air France Coach near 14 rue du Commandant René Mouchotte, 74014...and a detailed walking route (%26#39;..Piéton..%26#39;). If you decide to walk the 600-700 meters or so, it%26#39;s fairly straightforward---simply head down rue du Commandant René Mouchotte (to your Left as you face Gare Montparnasse, around Place de Catalogne (clockwise), down rue du Chateau, turn Right onto rue de l%26#39;Ouest and straight ahead for 200 meters to rue Pernety. Be caeful not to bump into HÔTEL APOLLON MONTPARNASSE when you arrive sooner than you thought.
