Hi,
I%26#39;m going to Europe with a friend in December-January and we%26#39;re going to buy a rail pass as we%26#39;re going to use trains quite alot. I have 2 questions:
- Are sleeper car surcharges cheaper when purchased locally compared to through a website such as railplus.com.au prior to departing australia? If so, can I buy these reservations in a different country? For example, can we reserve Krakow-Prague sleepers while in Italy?
- Is it worth getting a first-class pass instead of 2nd class, if the difference is only about $200? By the same token, is it worth paying extra for a private twin compartment overnight rather than a shared T4?
Any replies much appreciated!
