Chamonix in October

Hello,

We are thinking about visiting Chamonix in mid to late October, while in France. We will not have much in the way of warm winter clothing. Can anyone advise us about whether it is worth visiting Chamonix under these circumstances? We would be interested in riding the Aiguilles du Midi lift and in seeing lake Annecy.

Weather could be anything. Rain, Snow or sun.

temperatures could be very cold, cold or warm during the day.

At night cold or very cold.

But it is always worth a visit but at the Agile du Midi you will need warm clothing in Oct.

You will not need winter clothing, but should have a windbreaker and a fleece sweater underneath. You may want a hat as well. You will love the Aiguille du Midi and Annecy.
