Boulangerie Advice

Renting on Rue de la Cerisaie near the corner of Boulevard Henri IV next month and not familiar with the area.

Can anyone suggest a good boulangerie for morning baguettes and pastries. Also is there a Monoprix or Franprix nearby for stocking the kitchen?

You can look up locations for Monoprix or Franprix on their websites (just add .fr, or .com)

Another way to teach yourself to find shops, restaurants etc. is to go to the Paris Yellow Pages

www.pagesjaunes.fr

and find the %26#39; a cote de%26#39; or %26#39;proximitie%26#39; features. Put your location / address in, then the %26#39;activitie%26#39; (boulangerie, supermarche, etc) and it will give you a map of the nearest places + a list of their addresses, phone, etc.

Thanks TravelNutty. Using www.pagesjaunes.fr worked like a charm, so now I know where the neighborhood boulangeries are located -- of course now will be choosing the best, as my experience has been that the closest is not always the best.

We have lived in this neighborhood for a couple of years now, and our favorite bakery is Boulangerie Yheul, 29, rue Saint-Antoine. Monoprix is at 71, rue Saint-Antoine just across from Hôtel de Sully.

At 31, rue de la Cerisaie, you will find the Le Temps des Cerises, a tiny little neighborhood bistro that will take you back in time.

You are within walking distance of so many good little restaurants, cafés and bars that you will never run out of choices.

The Bastille is a great neighborhood, and I am sure that you will be very happy here.

The web site descriptions are very accurate and the service from the owner Thierry is excellent.
