I will arrive in Paris at 7:30 am. I want to get a 4 day Museum pass and a 3 day metro pass. Can I buy this at CDG airport. If not where would I be able to buy them early on a Sunday morning. Should I buy them before I leave the U.S. I am hoping not to pay for the shipping.

***DO NOT***DO NOT***DO NOT*** prepurchase transportation or museum passes before arriving in Paris. Most on-line and other agents will tack-on anywhere from a 25%-to-30% premium to the official prices in Paris...and then add insult to injury by charging you for s%26amp;h. These are quickly and readily available for less in Paris.

If purchase at CDG is inconvenient, PV%26#39;s are readily available at almost all Metro %26amp; RER stations...PMP%26#39;s are available at all participating museums.
Both the PARIS MUSEUM PASS and PARIS VISITE transportation passes are available for sale at locations at CDG at Tourist INFORMATION desks. PARIS VISITE transportation passes are only available for 1,2,3 %26amp; 5 CONSECUTIVE day durations. PARIS MUSEUM PASS is available for 2,4 %26amp; 6 CONSECUTIVE day durations.
Whether the PARIS VISITE transportation pass %26#39;..works..%26#39; best for you will depend largely on your proposed itinerary--methoid of transfer between CDG and Paris arriving an departing?, any day-trips out of Paris during your visit?
Alternatives to the PV are one-calendar-day MOBILIS passes or CARNETs (packets of 10 reduced-price tickets--11,40€)
RER %26#39;B%26#39; fare-8,40€...ROISSYBUS fare--8,90€

Thanks for the info. I plan only a day trip to Versailles in addition to my transfer from CDG to central Paris. Does the PV pass cover these trips? I thought I have seen that travel on the RER is free if you have a Eurail pass. Is this correct?
|||
Unless you have a really compelling reason to go to Versailles, with such a short time in Paris, I%26#39;d put it at the top of my %26quot;Things to do on our Next Trip%26quot; list (there is always a next trip). It%26#39;s a great destination, but will occupy at least most of a day, and that%26#39;s 25% of your time.
By the time you deal with Passport Control and get your luggage, all the places that sell the passes will be open and ready to do business with you, so it unnecessary for you to buy them before you leave the US.
Have a great trip.
Bon voyage.
