We are huge fans of Surrealism and are going to Paris in October. We are planing to see the Dali museum and the Pompidou. Can anyone suggest more sights related to the Surrealist movement?
Thanks! :)

I think there is more of that outside France. Belgium, Spain etc.
Tonight however I was at the Eiffel Tower watching youg people on rollerblades smoking pot and doing flips as the tower was blinking... Was very surreal to me!
Also check Orsay, Picasso museum and Pinacotheque as you never know what will be displayed at time of your visit. Enjoy!

Given that surrealism is often associated with the existentialist movement, the cafes Flore and Les Deux Magots on Boulevard Saint Germain might be of interest. Here Simone de Beauvoir, Jean-Paul Sartre and others met to drink, smoke and philosophise (in that order). Nothing very left wing about the prices now, though.

Check out some of the famous Passages. A few of my favorites are Passage des Panoramas and le Passage Verdeau. Definitely a bit surreal, and very interesting!

Apart from L%26#39;Espace Dalí, there really isn%26#39;t any other %26#39;..concentration..%26#39; of surrealist work in Paris. You will find some representation in the collections of Centre Pompidou, Musée d%26#39;Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris...perhaps a few pieces at the Musée d%26#39;Orsay.
If you%26#39;re really a devotée of the surrealist movement, you could wander past 15 rue de Grenelle in the 7eme, where the %26#39;..Centrale Surrealiste..%26#39; was headquartered (%26#39;ground zero%26#39; for the surrealist movement) in the %26#39;20s but it%26#39;s just another building today.

Lots of good suggestions, I will check them all out!
Thanks so much :)
