I%26#39;m taking someone special to Paris for the weekend and she has always wanted to be able to see the eifel tower from the room, can anyone suggest a reasonable priced hotel near the centre where a view like this is possible
Thanks

In the upper right hand of Trip Advisor there is a %26quot;Search In%26quot; box. Type in %26quot;Hotel with a view of the Eiffel Tower%26quot;. You may have your best luck with an apartment.

I have no idea what you consider a reasonable price.
You can see the ET very nicely from aTuilleries View room at the Hotel Brighton.
Rooms with views are likely 250 euros a night, maybe more,, I%26#39;m not sure as I haven%26#39;t looked, and of course you have left it last minute.
Look on this site at the trip reports for this hotel , there are some reader posted photos that may help you.

Hi -
This is a very busy time in Paris - you may not have too many choices - for last minute reservations go to www.ratestogo.com
I%26#39;ve used them for years for rooms in several cities on 3 continents. I%26#39;ve never had a problem and the rooms have always been exactly as presented.
You can also try www.venere.com - they may have something available.
Neither site requires you to pay for your room in advance. You pay on checkout.

We had a room at the Hilton Eiffel Tower
last month for $141 US via Priceline. It didn%26#39;t
have a tower view but you might be able to
upgrade at a reasonable cost.
Years ago we stayed right next door at what is
now a Mercure hotel and had a wonderful view.
The street is Rue Jean Rey if you do a search.
Good luck!

Note that the twinkling lights are turned on for a few minutes, on the hour after dark.

... for 10 minutes... soon to be reduced to 5.

Every trip now we buy a small bottle of champagne and on a nice night go out to the Pont des Arts at either 7:50 ot 8:50 to sip the wine and watch the lighted, then twinkling, tower. It seems as if everyone else in paris is there with us.

Here%26#39;s a link to a short video I shot of the
tower from in front of the Hilton in August 2008:
