from orly to latin quarter

HI ALL

We would be landing at 07.30 pm at orly airport and have to get to the Latin quarter (mother with two teens 11+15).

I am thinking about using the pablic transport .

This is the hotel advice:

%26quot;Take the Orlyval (8,38 euros per person) to Antony (So if you are 2 or more it%26#39;s almost as cheap and more comfortable to take a taxi) and then the RER B to stop Saint-Michel Notre-Dame and take the exit (sortie) Saint-michel, Saint-Germain. You come out on Boulevard Saint-Germain, walk in the same direction as the traffic, then take the first main cross street on your right, rue Saint-Jacques, go up the hill...%26quot;

What tickets would be the most worthy for this travel? are they right about the taxi?

We would probably buy sunday morning the CO for the three of us, what zones should we buy?

most of the time we would be in central Paris, one day we would travel to versailles, on sunday (a week after our arrival) we would leave to disney.

Thankyou very much!

Hi,

Since CO is available from Monday to Sunday, you won%26#39;t be able to use it for the first Sunday (when you land), so just buy a ticket to the Orlyval to Saint-Michel Notre-Dame – it costs 9.60 Euros.

Assuming that you%26#39;ll go to Versailles and Disney on the same week, CO for zones 1-5 for you will be slightly cheaper than a CO for zones 1-2 + tickets to Versailles and Disney.

Since your children can use a %26quot;Ticket Jeunes%26quot; for Sunday to go to Disney, CO for zones 1-2 will be slightly (4 euros) cheaper than CO for zones 1-5, but for the convenience of buying just one pass for a single week, I would go for CO zones 1-5 for them as well.

From another question that you%26#39;ve recently posted, I understand that you won%26#39;t return on Sunday from Disney to Paris, so, like your children, CO zones 1-2 (+ separate tickets to Versailles and Disney) will be slightly cheaper than CO for zones 1-5.

Another point: choosing %26quot; FORFAIT LOISIRS CHATEAU DE VERSAILLES%26quot; (an offer that includes a return ticket)http://www.transilien.com/web/site/accueil/guide-du-voyageur/billets-abonnements/Versailles/lang/en

will make the CO zones 1-5 less economical.

Thankyou so much you have been helping me before and now again.

I wrote by mistake that I would buy the CO sunday morning I should have written Monday.

As to %26quot; FORFAIT LOISIRS CHATEAU DE VERSAILLES%26quot; I would buy the museum pass and think it is included and free for the children.

Sorry for all my %26quot;trying to economize questions%26quot;,when I ordered the flight I wasnt aware of the high prices in paris.

We used the Orlyval/RER via Antony last year and the connection was awkward. I%26#39;m not sure whether there was maintenance work at Antony so we didn%26#39;t use the normal connection route through the station, but we had to get through turnstiles to get onto the RER - a whole Orlyval carriage full of passengers trailing cases around a suburban station then trying to fit them through turnstiles was not a pretty sight. Travelling back to Orly from near the Luxembourg, we took a taxi, cost about 30€, so it%26#39;s a close call on price when there are 3 of you.
