Sorry, but no. October is a big time in Paris for conventions. Hotels have been booked for months. You might spend an entire day looking for a hotel. Get online and start looking NOW! Check the availability of the hotels on your list and hope luck is on your side.

Not a good idea. It%26#39;s already been said - September and October are busy trade show weeks in Paris. A lot of hotels offer a small price advantage for internet customers - and they certainly won%26#39;t be inclined to lower their prices if you show up at their doorstep desparate... Also, hotels are often not particularly fond of walk-in customers - they tend to give more problems (with payment, stealing, etc.).
There are lots of websites that can give you an overview of hotels that have rooms available on your travel dates. The best value hotels probably are fully booked, but I think you should find one that suits you more or less and book a.s.a.p.

I spent about a week looking for a budget hotel for 4 nights in the 2nd week of october and was not able to find too much in the areas that we wanted and in our price range.
One tip, some of the booking sites would show that nothing was available, but after emailing the hotels directly, they would confirm that they had availability.
Thanks,
Suzanne

I agree with the above advice. You also probably should look in some of the areas away from the center of Paris (where the convention activities are) but near a Metro stop. That way, you can quickly get to the areas you will want to see, but might have better luck in finding a hotel room in your price range (or, at this time of year, any hotel room).

i would lke to book any hotel but the problem is i dont have any credit card at the moment (student ) and most hotel need credit card fr confirmation. any suggestions?
|||
Could one of your family book it on there credit card?
Try Hotel Eldorado, im staying there in November it has great reviews and only 75 euros a night.

Not sure where you are from but here we have debit cards that can be used for these situations (i.e like a credit card but only has your funds in it)
Other option is I normally book online for my daughter who then uses a cash bond when she gets there. as long as some-one thinks your trustworthy enough not to wreck a room this is a good way to do it :0)
