Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 at CDG?

I%26#39;m meeting family at CDG next week. We are all travelling from different parts of the UK and into different terminals.

I%26#39;m travelling into Terminal 1, and others are due in earlier to Terminal 2. They will head to meet us (and our Driver), and I was wondering if anyone has done this and roughly how long it takes? I%26#39;ve seen the map and it looks quite a distance!

Ta very much!

Terminal 1 and 2 are not THAT fat but then again they are not close either.

I would say 5 minutes once you are on an airline bus. Waiting can be up to 20 minutes.

I always recommend that people meet at their destimation not at arrivals.

They are connected by a lightrail system called CDGVAL. There are some terminal maps and lots of good info here:

I recommend meeting at your hotel. Otherwise, I suppose you can ask the driver to recommend a %26#39;porte%26#39; or door where he will pick you all up.

Geting between CDG #1 and the much larger CDG #2 terminal buildings %26#39;..complex..%26#39; (CDG #2-A,B,C,D,TGV/RER,E%26amp;F ) is fairly quick and straightforward--perhaps 20 minutes or less (exiting Customs, down the %26#39;habitrail%26#39; escalators, waiting for a CDGVAL shuttle/train, 8 mins to CDG #2). The CDGVAL station at CDG #1 is located at the bottom level of the terminal. The CDGVAL station for CDG #2 is located between CDG2 TGV/RER %26amp; #2-E%26amp;F).

But that%26#39;s not really your problem is it?? Two separate traveling parties meeting at CDG may be though. With this in mind, it would be useful to know: Which CDG #2 terminal building your friends%26#39; inbound flight will be arriving?? CDG #2-A,B,C,D,E,F or G ??...Whose flight arrives at CDG first ?? How much time between arrivals?? Do either party have any special needs---physical mobility issues?..tons of luggage??...small children??...escorting circus animals ??...require audio-visual aids to navigate a revolving door ?? These not-so-minor-details will probably best determine who meets whom??...when??...where??...how??

Hi --

I%26#39;m another in the meet at your destination rather than the airport camp, especially since the airport is CDG.

You have absolutely no reason to believe that either flight will be on time. Nor can you be sure that either or both flights won%26#39;t spend an inordinate amount of time sitting on the tarmac somewhere in the far reaches of the airport territory.

Since you have a driver arranged, change the arrangements (and probably the charges) so the driver picks up the first group at their terminal and then picks you up as previously arranged. It could mean that someone waits for a long time somewhere, but at least you%26#39;ll know where everyone is.

Bon voyage.

Hello (I am also Stephen Moz - this is my work pc and a different account).

There is plenty of time between our flights (over 90 minutes) and we have a plan in case the first flight is late (they make their own way!). Our Driver has our flight number and will wait (a flat fee arranged by our apartment company).

I only ask as I am sending details to the other party, who are all able bodied but will do the strangest things after 3 hours of nicotine deprival!

We all know Paris well, but have never had to rendez-vous at the airport before (and the Terminal 1 is new to us all). They arrive into Terminal 2B!

Ta
