Parking around Hotel Rex?

Hi,

we have made a reservation at the Hotel Rex (after loads of recommendations on this board), but I am not sure how the parking situation aroud the Hotel is.

We are spending the first week of our trip in the Provence, and will then arrive by car in Nice.

Any experiences or recommendations? I read that there is a Underground Car Park around the corner, but appearantly they charge 25 Euro a day.

Any ideas or reecommendations for other Hotels with free or reasonable parking?

Noticed your post in the forum, I%26#39;m planning on Staying at Hotel Rex and I%26#39;m going to have a car..did you end up finding parking nearby?

The Hotel itself doesn%26#39;t have any Car Park Facilities.

There is a underground Carpark below Place Massana, which we used during weekdays. The entrabnce of the car park is around 50 metres from the Hotel entrance.

It costs around 28 Euro for 24 hours. At the weekend we parked our car in some sidestreets (5 minutes walk) for free. If you are close to the Hotel you could also park in some of the streets during the day, and just get a new Parking Ticket every few hours. Works then out at about 10 Euro a day, but much more hassle.

I believe the payable times during the week were from 9 to 6, and free at night.
