Most posh bar/lounge in Paris

My sister and I are going to be in Paris for 2 nights (ages 24 and 28)...however on a Sunday and a Monday next week. We want to go to the coolest and most posh place to be in Paris one of those nights. Like a bar-club, or just lounge. Obviously we have heard of the Buddha bar, but are curious if there is something that is better or more hip. Can anyone give us any suggestions? Will we be able to get reservations? Can our concierge at our hotel get us reservations? Any help will be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

HOtel Costes has been the %26quot;see and be seen%26quot; spot for a while. But they are not exactly polite, from my own personal experience and that of multiple Parisian friends as well...

Bristol is supposed to be where Sarko and Carla hang out. Not confirmed, I prefer the cheaper happy hours for cocktails.

The Hemingway Bar in the Ritz Hotel. The Ritz is arguably the best hotel in Europe, or perhaps the world, so it%26#39;s definitely a dress well but not ostentatiously destination. The bar is full of Hemingway memorabilia and photographs. The drinks cost a fortune (mostly more than €25), but the martinis come with a rose for the lady.

the coolest place isn%26#39;t necessarily the poshest place. Cool places vary from month to month, depending on what is %26#39;in%26#39; at the time. Costes is now supposedly full of prostitutes and Russian billionaires :o)

Posh places include the Hemingway at the Ritz, the Bar at Georges V. If you go for a drink at either of those places they can probably point you in the right direction of %26#39;cool%26#39;

park hyatt bar next to place vendome is supposed to be a very trendy place now. the bar looks nice, cocktails are great as well. the one of plaza athenee is very nice as well, modern with a mix of classic, blue neons, if u want posh and trendy try this one then. its one of the best palaces of paris (palaces = 5 stars hotels and only about 6 in paris).

thanks so much! we will check out some of those. I really appreciate the advise. And yes...i didn%26#39;t necessarily mean the most posh i guess. Just one of the most cool places to get dressed up and hang out. Thanks again!!! Any suggestions as to which night is better..sunday or monday night? thanks!

Again, %26#39;dressed up%26#39; could mean many things to many people. If you are going to a younger nightclub, then dressed up can mean something like dVb, or Rock %26amp; Republic jeans, designer shoes and top, or it could mean wearing a sparkly minidress.

To the slightly older generation, like myself, it might mean wearing a little black dress and best jewellery.

Sundays and Mondays tend to be quieter nights. Saturday seems to be the biggest party night when we%26#39;ve been in Paris. I haven%26#39;t been to any of the nightclubs but we have been past the queues, there%26#39;s one just of Rue du Rivoli, I remember it had lots of black sports cars pulling up outside.

if you want to party on monday night, the best place is the queen on champs elysees. its disco night, it gets busy around 1am and then its just packed every monday. i love the music, ambiance, everybody is dancing non stop (well its disco ;)). entrance is 20 or 25 euros including a drink, and its a night club. really very nice if u like disco and dancing.
