7th district options on eating and going around

our hotel is hotel kensington avenue de la bourdonnais in the 7th district. What can you offer for me to visit from the nearast to the far?

And also I want to learn cheap places to eat(breakfast, lunch, dinner) in this district near to the hotel?

Thanks a lot

You are not too far from Rue Cler, where there are several reasonable restaurants and a fabulous bakery.

Cafe du Marche was the best value we had in Paris (my husband still dreams of the profiteroles there!)

Having said this, it was still not cheap by US standards (but as the euro continues to fall perhaps that will change).

La Terrasse Cafe, on the corner of Motte Piquet and Ave. Bosquet and around the corner from the Ecole Militaire metro stop,is a great place for people watching and has typical cafe food.

For about 30 euros you can get a really great 3 course meal at Le P%26#39;tit Troquet in the 7e.

A few doors down from Cafe du Marche is Tribeca - owned by the same people as Cafe du Marche.

Similar food, similar prices, a little more %26quot;modern%26quot; decor. Had a pleasant dinner there last October.

I%26#39;d also recommend La Terrasse

Here s another vote for Tribeca. Way better than Cafe du Marche

The number 69 bus stops right in front of the hotel(I stayed there in 2002) and it makes a loop across most of the city . Check it%26#39;s route on www.ratp.com

You are walking distance to Eiffel Tower and across the bridge to Trocadero. The other direction you can walk to L%26#39;Invalides and Musee Rodin.

There is a bakery on Bousquet and one on Rue Cler-both are good . The R.Cler one is open on Sunday.

Skip the Cafe du Marche. First meal I had there in %26#39;02 was wonderful, last year in Oct. only so-so and just in Aug. we were seated then ignored while others seated after us were waited on so we left.
