CDG to Paris Saint Lazare

I found a 2005 posting with directions from CDG to the St. Lazare train station using the RER B train and metro. I would appreciate verification that these directions are still applicable. They were:

Take the RER B train from CDG to Chatelet and connect with Metro line 14 to St. Lazare. RER B and Metro 14 are conncted via a short undergound walk in the Chatelet station..

We will be arriving on Tuesday morning, and I%26#39;m thinking this this route is preferable to bus or taxi because of traffic. Am I on the right track?

There are no changes to the route instructions you already have.

My personal preference is taxi and if you are arriving from North America, by the time you reach the taxi stand, most of the morning rush hour will be finished.

If you are already familiar with the Métro system then what you have outlined will work. However, if you have a great deal of luggage, young family members, and keeping in mind fatigue and disorientation possibilities, a taxi may be infinitely simpler and stress free.

Thank you for your reply. Do you know the approximate charge for a taxi from CDG and St. Lazare, and about how long it takes?

A taxi will be a great deal faster as you will not need to walk over to the train station (in terminal 2), buy tickets, make stops en route or make connections at Chatelet (Paris%26#39; largest station I believe) and continue on a second leg to St. Lazare.

Taxis are available curbside just outside of customs with hardly ever a wait, you should be at your destination within 45 minutes at cost somewhere around 50€.

Thanks for the info. Taxi it is!
